NEW! Access To Work: Webinar

About this event

Who is this Webinar for?

This webinar is aimed at all who may have a health condition, including mental health, or disability considering being self-employed or starting up their own business, or who may already be running a company.

It is also ideal for those employing individuals with health conditions or disabilities either now or in the future. This webinar will be helpful to anyone who has a health condition or disability that might prevent or hinder them getting to work in the first place, and then carrying out their work in the workplace.

During this event, your host Elaine Varty from the Letchworth Job Centre will go over what Access to Work is, who is eligible, what it can provide and how to apply. You will see various examples of how this has already been helping people.

During this webinar you will:

  • Discover what Access to Work is
  • Understand who may be eligible for the support from Access to Work
  • See how it can help you remain in work with a health condition or disability
  • Have an awareness of some of the ways Access to Work can help
  • Know how to apply for Access to Work

Your host:

Elaine Varty has been working as a Disability Employment Adviser at Letchworth Jobcentre for several years and over this time has gained a lot of awareness of disabilities and health conditions, and how these can affect people at work.

Elaine supports people with health conditions or disabilities to get into work by helping them to explore their work options and learn about support that is available, including Access to Work.

She has also worked with employers, explaining reasonable adjustments and how Access to Work can help them recruit and retain good employees. Elaine wants more people to be aware of Access to Work and how it could potentially help them.

Please note: The webinar may be recorded, however, having your Camera and microphone on is optional.
