btc Case Study: XO3D
XO3D is a visual animation studio specialising in digital and web content. Founded by Alex Mann, the company started in a bedroom with a couple of laptops. Over five years, it grew into a full studio with a team working together on animation projects.
Finding the right workspace was a challenge. Alex and his team started in a smaller office but needed more space as the business expanded. “We’ve been working with btc for maybe three years. We were initially in a much smaller office, and as the team expanded, they were able to put us in a larger space. They’ve worked with us every step of the way.”
Flexibility was a key reason for choosing the Business & Technology Centre. “One of the main reasons for us choosing btc in the first place was the policies for contracts on the lease and the rental that enabled us the flexibility to cover ourselves if perhaps it hadn't worked out so favorably or if we’d needed to take another direction.” Rolling contracts meant the team could scale up or down as needed. “The fact that they allow you to move up and scale down as you need means that we can adapt with the business and with the facilities and with btc, as opposed to feeling sort of like they’re a custodian.”
Beyond office space, the Wenta team made a difference. “The people on reception and the people in the building are so friendly, so supportive, and so caring that it just makes you want to come to work every day.” This supportive environment helped the company settle in and grow.
Alex has already recommended btc to others. “We have already done so, in fact, to a couple of people who have joined the building, and I think we will continue to do so again, just because the team here are fantastic, very much supportive.”
